As Practice Director EMEA at RAIN Group, Ago specialises in sales training, coaching and consulting – working with clients who sell complex, high-end B2B professional, financial, and technology services. Over the years, he has also earned himself a reputation as a thought leader in the sales performance development space.

Ago Cluytens' early track record as a management consultant with “Big 4″ professional services firms Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen (now Deloitte) made him intimately familiar with “Selling to the C-suite.” Spending over a decade as an executive with a Fortune-50 financial services firm, ING, helped Ago develop a unique insider’s perspective of how corporations really buy and make decisions. Throughout his time at ING, Ago held a succession of senior positions, ranging from managing strategic global change programs at ING Group (HQ) to Global Head of Marketing for the Private Banking division.

Throughout his corporate career, Ago has directly signed off on or influenced the purchase of tens of millions of dollars worth of products and services. And as former Global Head of Marketing (CMO) for ING’s private banking division, he is a former C-level executive himself – with a deep understanding of what other CxOs look for when evaluating providers.

As Practice Director EMEA at RAIN Group, I work with companies and firms who want to grow their business, scale “to the next level” or recover lost market share and revenues. They are ambitious about their growth and understand that building their business development skills (or that of their consultants) is crucial to making that happen.

I typically work with “non-professional sellers”: professionals who need to generate new business as part of what they do – but are not full time dedicated to sales. Partners, directors, principals, consultants, coaches, financial experts and other high-end advisors, primarily across three industries.

>> Professional services – management consultants, auditors, accountants, research firms, marketing/branding (strategy) firms, executive search firms, executive & business coaches
>> Technology services – ERP/CRM implementation, marketing automation, SaaS, software startups, system integrators
>> Financial services – (retail, private, wholesale) banks, insurance companies, funds, portfolio companies/holdings, private equity firms, wealth managers, private banks and independent financial advisors (IFAs)
